Connie Kendall has always been a beacon of support and kindness in the Charleston, West Virginia community. For over 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of calling her my friend. Connie is fluent in American Sign Language and has dedicated much of her life to serving the deaf community. Her faith is a guiding force, and her favorite verse, Philippians 4:13, has inspired not only her but also those around her to persevere through life’s challenges. Recently, Connie was involved in a tragic car accident that has changed her life forever. She is currently in the ICU on a ventilator and will require permanent ventilation via tracheostomy. The accident destroyed her van and power wheelchair, and she suffered multiple injuries that have left her unable to live independently. Now, Connie faces overwhelming medical bills, the urgent need to replace essential equipment, and the challenge of securing long-term care and accessible living arrangements. Throughout her life, Connie has given freely of herself to help others, always putting the needs of her community before her own. Now, as she faces this difficult journey, it’s our turn to support her. Every contribution will help provide the care, equipment, and stability Connie needs to move forward.
